Spanish-American War: Philippine Campaign Medal, WWI Victory Medal and Veterans Medals Identified to Lt. Colonel Edward G. McCleave, 25th Infantry.

Includes: 1) Philippine Campaign Medal, 33-mm bronze planchet, numbered No. 2375 on the rim. The ribbon has been replaced with a post-war veterans' ribbon and suspension device in the form of captain's shoulder rank insignia. A proper full-wrap brooch ribbon is included. 2) WWI Victory Medal with France clasp. Full-wrap brooch. 3) Bronze Spanish-American War veteran's badge numbered 20461; patriotic eagle pin and appropriate ribbon bars. During WWI, McCleave served as a Lt. Colonel on the General Staff in Paris and saw operations in Chateau-Thierry, St. Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne sectors. He was awarded a Distinguished Service Medal.
