Description
British B.S.A. & M. Co. 1895 Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 74462, .30 caliber, 30-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued finish. Various British proof marks. Right side of receiver marked: (crown) / V.R. / B.S.A. & M. CO. / 1895 / II. Smooth hardwood stock and forearm. Cartouches to right side of stock. Two sling swivels, stacking swivel and leather shoulder sling. Brass buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir.
Condition: Good. Retaining traces of bluing, the balance a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear and patches of pitting.
Ramrod absent. Heavy dings and bruising to wood. Cracking and discoloration present to leather. Action good. Strong bore.
