Description
U.S. Rifle Model 1873 Trowel Bayonet.Measures 14 1/2-inches overall with a 10-inch blade. PAT. APR. 16-72 patent date stamp on side of socket. Note: Designed to fit the Springfield Trapdoor Rifle in 45-70 caliber, hard to find in any condition.
Condition: Retains 5-10% bluing on socket, blade mostly a plum brown patina with spotting and rust/scattered pitting. No scabbard.
