Description
Civil War: West Virginia Veterans' Badge With Corps Badge Hanger and Chain Suspension.37 mm in diameter suspended via chains from a German-silver pinback hanger which is either and 8th Corps on a heart or a 24th Corp with a six-sided star mounted. The rim is stamped GWINN MINTER CAPTN 10TH REG INF VOLS. Minter enlisted on December 12, 1861 as a Sergeant and mustered into "C" Company of the West Virgnia 10th Infantry. He was promoted to Captain on July 25, 1865.
Condition: Very good.
