Description
German Suhl Mauser Model 71 Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 7012 [barrel, receiver and bolt], 11x60r caliber, 33 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued finish.. Bayonet lug. Various German proof marks. Breech marked: SP. & SR. / SUHL. Receiver dated 1875. Smooth walnut straight stock with sling swivels. Brass triggerguard. Metal ramrod and buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable dings and bruising present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
