Description
C. Sharps New Model 1863 Single Shot Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. 16683, .54 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut straight stock. Metal carbine buttplate.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs and dings present to wood. Repair at wrist. Fore-end, front sight and saddle ring are absent. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
