Description
Soviet Cosmonauts 1970 U.S. Visit: Collection of Original NASA Photos Including Six with "Red Numbers." Between October 18-28, 1970, two Soviet cosmonauts, Andrian Nikolayev and Vitaly Sevastyanov, both fresh off a successful and record-breaking Soyuz 9 mission, toured the United States at NASA's invite. Offered here are six 10" x 8" color glossy "red number" photos and one B&W glossy, all taken at the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston. They are shown getting keys to the city, looking at a T-38 jet, and interacting with their American counterparts such as Buzz Aldrin (their host), Pete Conrad, Deke Slayton, and Walt Cunningham.
