Description
British B.S.A. Charger Loading Lee-Enfield Mk I* Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 4622, .303 caliber, 30-inch barrel with adjustable rear and fixed front sight. Blued finish. Receiver, rear sight, and barrel numbers matching. Bolt mismatched. Stock appears to be unnumbered. Right side of butt socket marked "B.S.A. Co" with no date or other marks. Left side of butt socket stamped "CLLE / I*". Volley sights with sight base marked "CL" as proper. Magazine cut off. Right side of butt stamped with property numbers and "RMS / 266". Brass butt plate with trap for cleaning tools. This example still retains the oiler and pull through. Charger loading Lees are thin on the ground here in the U.S.
Condition: Very good. Metal with a smooth brown patina. Stock with moderate wear including the usual dings, dents, bruises and scratches. Clean bore.
