Description
Allen & Wheelock Center Hammer Army Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 145 [lever], .44 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal to round barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Left side of barrel marked: ALLEN & WHEELOCK WORCESTER MASS U.S. / ALLEN'S PT'S JAN 13. DEC 15. 1857 SEPT 7.1. Smooth walnut grip panels.
Condition: Very good to fine. Retaining traces of finish in protected areas, the balance a grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Strong bore.
