Description
U.S. Army Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol.Serial no. 264228, .45 caliber, 5-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Left side of frame stamped: UNITED STATES PROPERTY and JMG proof mark. Rampant Colt logo on left side of slide. Checkered walnut grip panels. Grip safety. Lanyard ring. Manufactured in 1918.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 80-85% with areas of thinning, handling wear and patches of pitting. Faint engraved JNO 2051 to left side of slide. Few scuffs present to wood. Action good. Bright bore. From the Sylver Schaller Collection.
