U.S. Colt Model 1911 Army Semi-Automatic Pistol.

Serial no. 286349, .45 caliber, 5-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Parkerized finish. Adjustable grooved trigger. Left side of frame marked: UNITED STATES PROPERTY. Checkered hard rubber grip panels. Lanyard ring. Grip safety. Manufactured in 1918. The Colt M1911 is one of the most iconic handguns in military history. Designed by John Browning, it served as the standard-issue sidearm of the U.S. Armed Forces for most of the 20th century and remains in use today in various forms.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with some minor thinning to relief edges, handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Magazine absent. Action crisp. Strong bore. Tom Mixon Collection
