Serial no. 141606 [right side of frame], .45 caliber, 5-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Right side of slide marked: MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY. Left side of frame stamped: UNITED STATES PROPERTY. Checkered hardwood grip panels. Grip safety. Lanyard ring. Two-tone magazine. Manufactured in 1917. Contained in U.S. leather holster, backside marked: ROCK ISLAND / ARSENAL / 1913 / H.E.K. Sold along with MAY / RUSSELL / 1918 magazine pouch and extra two-tone magazine. Service History: World War I (1917-1918), first issued widely to U.S. troops, and praised for stopping power and reliability in trench warfare conditions. World War II (1941-1945), over 2 million units produced by multiple contractors. Issued to all U.S. branches - Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Corps.

Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 60-70% finish with noticeable thinning to relief edges, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Few scattered scuffs to wood. Action good. Bright bore.
