Description
Marlin Model 1897 Lever Action Rifle.Serial no. 341086 [receiver], .22 caliber, 26-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear adjustable buckhorn sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Checkered factory hard rubber buttplate. This model was manufactured by Marlin from 1897-1917, it was eventually replaced by the Marlin Model 39 lever action rifle.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
