Description

Early Cheese Box Painted Canteen.
5" unmarked canteen painted in cyan. Small bunghole at top, held together with wrought iron nails. Missing two loops at the top, as well as some nails, but generally in very good condition. Could date from the Revolutionary War or the War of 1812. That said, War of 1812 canteens usually are in the 7" range.
