Description
Remington Vest Pocket Saw Handle Derringer.Serial no. 307 [base of barrel and frame under grips], .22 caliber, 3 1/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of frame marked: REMINGTONS ILION N.Y. / PATENT OCT. 1, 1861. Smooth walnut grip panels.
Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of finish, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
