Cased Smith & Wesson Model 19-3 Texas Rangers Commemorative Double Action Revolver with Letter.

Serial no. TR3382 [frame], .357 Magnum caliber, 4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and micrometer adjust rear sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Right side of barrel marked: TEXAS RANGERS. Right side of frame marked: 1823 / STATE OF TEXAS TEXAS RANGER COMMEMORATIVE COMMISSION SEAL / 1973. Smooth walnut grips. Sold along with commemorative knife with similar seal as gun. Wooden display case also included. Sold along with a letter from Missouri Pacific Railroad Company, dated October 12, 1979. Letter states "The gun is a Texas Ranger Commemorative with knife having the serial numbers TR3382 in a presentation case. It is one of 8,000 sets produced to commemorate the Texas Rangers". Signed by special agent Hal B. Caldwell.

Condition: Excellent. Overall showing light handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Faint tracking line to cylinder. Action crisp. Bright bore. Scattered storage wear to display case. From Joe Bowman "The Straight Shooter Collection".
