Description
Henry Model 1860 Repeating Lever Action Rifle with Decorative Indian Brass Tacks.Serial no. 10121 [top of barrel and inside buttplate], .44 rimfire caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Top of barrel marked: HENRY'S PATENT OCT. 16 1860 / MANUFACT'D BY THE NEW HAVEN ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CT. Brass frame. Case-hardened hammer and lever. Smooth walnut straight stock with decorative Indian brass tacks to each side. Sling swivel. Brass crescent buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir. Manufactured in 1865.
Estate of Kenneth Alan Hill, Sr., Fort Worth, Texas.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with signs of handling wear, age and fine patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
