Description
Engraved Italian Denis Fontana "Cristina" Model Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 341 [receiver and barrels], 20 gauge [3-inch], 28-inch barrels with smooth rib and fixed front bead sight. Blued finish. Top of barrels marked: DENIS FONTANA - ITALY, accented in gilt. Elaborately scroll and floral engraved receiver, lever and triggerguard. Water table engraved CRISTINA, along with Italian proof marks. Each side of receiver features DENIS FONTANA. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end. Sling swivels. Length of pull: 14 5/8-inches. Weight. 6-pounds.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with light handling wear, along with noticeable scuff and pitting to left side of barrel. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bores. Collection of a Southern Gentleman.
