U.S. Martially Marked Colt Model 1860 Army Single Action Revolver.

Serial no. 71585 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt] and 1585 [cylinder], .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Three-screw frame, left side stamped: COLTS / PATENT. Brass triggerguard with a H inspector mark. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Cartouche marking present on grip. Manufactured in 1862.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
