Description
Antique Colt Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. 26559 [frame, triggerguard and butt, 6559 on cylinder], .45 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Top of barrel address reads COLT'S P.T. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT U.S.A. Nickel-plated finish. Two-line, two-date patent. Smooth replacement grips. Manufactured in 1876. Together with associated brown leather holster, marked B.H. DYAS CO. / 39 / 419.
Condition: Very good as reconfigured and cleaned, barrel appears to have been cut down as well. Current finish with scattered signs of thinning, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Marred screws. Action crisp. Lightly pitted bore. Holster with scuffs, verdigris present.
