Colt 1871-72 Open Top Single Action Conversion Revolver.

Serial no. 2910 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt, cylinder 910], .44 RF caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Two-line, two-date patent to left side of frame. Replacement smooth grips. Manufactured between 1871-1872. Please note: Total production, about 7,000 [see Flayderman's Guide, 5B-133].

Condition: Good as configured, cleaned and partially refinished. Gun overall has a bright nickel-plated finish with toning. Moderate handling wear and patches of pitting concentrating to frame area. Grips fair with heavy age wear and heavy loss. Non matching grips. Marred screws. Action crisp. Bore ok.
