Description
Colt Model 1851 Navy Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 205268 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt] and 5268 [cylinder], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. COLT'S / PATENT to left side of frame and .36 CAL to triggerbow. Etched cylinder scene. Smooth walnut one piece grip. Manufactured in 1868.
Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of finish, the balance a smooth grey patina with areas of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Moderately pitted bore.
