Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Leather Holster and Factory Letter.

Serial no. 281154 [frame, triggerguard and butt], .32 W.C.F. caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. Two-line, three-date patent and Rampant Colt to left side of frame. L V TATE stamped to right side of barrel and L VV to right side of frame. Checkered hard-rubber factory grip panels with embossed Rampant Colt logos. Sold along with factory letter dated February 26, 2007. Letter states that the revolver was shipped to Richards & Conover Hardware Co. in Kansas City, MO., on August 13, 1906. Revolver is contained in unmarked leather holster. Richards & Conover Hardware Company was a major hardware and firearms retailer based in Kansas City, Missouri, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The company was well known for selling firearms, ammunition, and sporting goods, along with general hardware, tools, and cutlery. Their connection to firearms history comes primarily from their role as a distributor and retailer of guns manufactured by well-known American brands such as Colt, Winchester, Smith & Wesson, and Remington.

Condition: Good. Finish is a mixture of smooth and dark grey patinas, with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Few scuffs present to grips. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
