Revolutionary War Period French Levet Malafont Flintlock Officer's Pistol.

Unserialized, .50 caliber, 7 3/4-inch octagonal to round barrel with cannon style muzzle. Lock marked: LEVET / MALAFONT. Carved and molded walnut full-stock. Steel mounts, triggerguard and grip cap. Wood ramrod. 13 1/4-inches in overall length. Sold along with printed auction description from Paul M. Ambrose Antiques, dated September 25, 2009.

Condition: Very good as acid-cleaned. Overall showing scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action functions. Pitted bore.
