Description
Civil War Era-13 Star Naval Ensign.Loose weave wool, machine sewn bunting with hand-sewn stars applied to each side, approximately 27 ½ x 47-inches. 1 ¾-inch hoist with brass grommets in each corner. Stars arranged in a medallion pattern with stars in each corner. Reinforced with three rows of stitching on the fly end.
Condition: The red color of the stripes has bled into the white stripes; a few scattered dark spots, a few modest to moderate holes. Good condition.
