Exceptional Imperial-Era German Boar's Head Pommel Hunting Dagger by Carl Eickhorn.

15 1/4inch bright blade (21 1/2-inches overall), ornately etched with hunting scenes on each side. Early Eickhorn back to back squirrels trademark on the reverse ricasso. Gilded-brass hilt featuring a fantastic boar's head pommel. Both ends of the knuckle bow terminate in deer hoof motifs. The clamshell guard depicts a hunting scene of a dog and stag. The tapered stag grip is adorned with acorns on either side. The dagger is complete with gold portepee. Brown leather scabbard with gilded-brass trim; the tip ornately decorated with a hunting motif. Acorn frog stud. Brown leather frog.
