Commonwealth of Australia Single-Shot Martini-Henry Cadet Rifle by W.W. Greener. Serial no. 247, .32-20 caliber, 25 ΒΌ-inch barrel with standard military sights. Top of barrel marked: Made by the Birmingham Small Arms Co. Ltd. Blued finish. Breech marked: 310 12-120/[British proofs]. Top of frame with image of kangaroo. Right side of frame marked: Commonwealth of Australia/D[broad arrow]/D/Q/247. Left side of frame marked: W.W. Greener Maker Birmingham. Lever dropblock action. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Right side of buttstock marked: D [broad arrow] D/Q/247/ 8.07/11.11. Sling mounts. Condition: Very good. Barrel retaining approximately 85-90% blue finish with scattered light wear present. Frame and lever retaining approximately 30-40% finish mixed with grey patina. Scattered light pitting. Buttplate with light surface frosting. Wood with scattered dents and bruises. Action good.
