Description
McKinley & Hobart: Monroe Doctrine Button. This 1ΒΌ" button has all sorts of symbolism which might seem politically incorrect these days. An American eagle labeled "Monroe Doctrine" sits atop the globe. It has two dollar signs and a shield inscribed "Protection". The globe is inscribed "McKinley and Hobart". It has a Whitehead & Hoag back paper and is in excellent condition. As far as "name pins" are concerned, this is as about as good as it gets.Auction Info
