Description
1876 U.S. Centennial: A Scarce Large Linen Flag. This design is highly prized by both general Americana and flag collectors. The condition is really superior compared to other examples we have encountered. The red and blue colors are particularly strong, and there is a minimal amount of typical age staining and soiling. A couple of small, pencil eraser sized holes do not detract. Trivial small tear at lower left corner and a 1" hole in the upper right-hand corner. Three original brass loops for suspension still attached along left border. Marvelous display presence. 45" x 28".Auction Info
