John Steinbeck. Tortilla Flat. New York: Covici Friede, [1935].First edition, issued in wrappers, one of approximately only 500 copies. Publisher's square binding with blank stiff cream covers, sewed and wrapped in the illustrated dust jacket. Both the front blank cover and the illustrated wrapper have cleanly separated from the binding at the front joint but are still present. Jacket panels toned, spine darkened. One corner chipped.
