Sixteen large octavo volumes. Embellished with numerous engravings. Bound in polished calf with blind-tooled and gilt-stamped borders on covers, gilt-tooled board edges and inside boards. Five raised gilt-tooled bands on spine with gilt-stamped devices and titles. Marbled page edges. Light offsetting to engravings throughout. Some shelfwear to extremities. A very good set.
