Original pictorial orange wrappers. Rear wrapper missing. Front wrapper splitting along spine; minor paper loss at corners. A previous owner's pencil name and short notations in several places. Minor occasional foxing. In good to very good condition.

This collection of short -- and mostly anonymous -- humor pieces includes Twain's short story which originally appeared in the May, 1870 issue of Galaxy magazine where it appeared under the title "The Story of the Good Little Boy Who Did Not Prosper." This dime novel issue unknown to BAL and Johnson. Rare.
