Four octavo volumes. With all half-titles and four fold-out maps and a fold-out plate in the first two volumes, as issued. Contemporary full mottled calf, spines decoratively ruled in gilt, black gilt morocco lettering labels, gilt board edges. Some rubbing, some joints barely cracking (yet still solid), bookplates, contemporary ink ownership signatures on half-titles, maps with a few tears. Still, a good set. An excellent contemporary account of American history.
