Philadelphia: Printed and Sold by D. Hall, and W. Sellers, [1771]. First edition. Twelvemo. Approximately 7 x 4 inches. [34 of 36] pages. Lacking the final leaf. Illustrated with several woodcuts, including "The Anatomy of Man's Body as govern'd by the Twelve Constellations". String-bound and self-wrappered. Pages toned, worn and soiled, pages a bit loose. Contemporary ownership ink signatures or inscriptions in two places in text ("Gainor Jones" and "Betsy Jones"). Still, a fair copy of this rare and fragile item. Franklin himself published this Almanack until 1766, when publication was taken over by Hall and Sellers (they published it until about 1794). Sabin 25567. Evans 12220.
