1923 WORLD SERIES PROGRAM - GAME 5.
Now that their stadium was completed, the Yankees hosted the entirety of the 1923 World Series - especially convenient because this was the third consecutive Fall Classic contested by the Giants and Yankees. And similar to the two previous Series (1921 and 1922), only one program design was created. The 1923 program presented here was scored (into the 7th inning) for Game 5. Ruth had a good day, but it was Joe Dugan who took the headlines, going 4 for 4. Meanwhile, the diminutive 'Bullet Joe' Bush went the distance, holding McGraw's Giants to a scant three hits. This offered program has mild creasing on the cover and moderate corner damage. But to its credit, the publication remains solidly intact. VG.
