Description

Adolph Frederick, King of Sweden, Document Signed "Adolph Frederich." Four integral pages, 8" x 12.5", in Swedish (not translated), Stockholm, May 30, 1756. Adolph Frederick was the first king from the House of Holstein-Gottorp, reigning from 1751 until his death in 1771. The document has folds and light soiling and bears a Dutch paper merchant watermark. The document is sold with a contemporary engraving of Adolph Frederick as heir to the throne of Sweden and Prince-Bishop of Lübeck.
