William G. Fargo Signed American Express Company Stock Certificate. One printed page, May 16, 1873, 11.25" x 7.5" (sight) entitling "F. Bristol" of Utica, New York to five shares. With minor folding and cancellation hole on left side.More Information:
Fargo was a founder of the Wells Fargo & Company, mayor of Buffalo New York from 1862 - 1866, and president of the American Express Company from 1868 until his death in 1881. Fargo Avenue in Buffalo and Fargo, North Dakota are named after him.
