Franklin D. Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed as president. One page, 7" x 9", on "White House" letterhead, Warm Springs [Georgia], November 22, 1938, to Senator Lester Hill regarding funding for the construction of a tunnel in Mobile, Alabama. Light toning along the margins. Paper clip indentation and light rust staining at top left. Else fine.

In full: "I have submitted the telegrams from Mr. S. E. Roper, President of the Alabama Federation of Labor, and Mr. W. O. Hare, Secretary of the Alabama Federation of Labor, to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and to the Administrators of the Public Works Administration and the Rural Electrification Administration. I have been assured by these officials that the matter discussed in the telegrams will be given appropriate consideration by these agencies."
