[Civil War]. War Dated Resolution of Gratitude. One page, 7.75" x 10", Nashville, April 11, 1863, expressing the "thanks of the Vestry and Congregation of Christ Church Nashville be given to Mrs. Bankhead and through her to the other members of the choir for their kindness and generosity in devoting their great talents and genius for music to the services of the Church." Folds; lightly toned. Minor ink burning with loss of paper, not affecting the text.

Mrs. Bankhead was the wife of Henry C. Bankhead, career soldier and officer in the Union Army, who saw action at Shiloh, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Spotsylvania, Petersburg Siege, and others.
