Description
Pablo Picasso Autograph Letter Signed "Picasso." Found on the verso of an undated postcard, 5.5" x 3.5" (sight), bearing a portrait of French painter Louis-Pierre Alathene, the famed Spanish painter writes, in French, to his friend, Andre Level, transmitting his address at the Hotel Vaste Horizon. With regard to some visitors, he says, in full: "As for the Americans. I'm here, more or less determined to work. Why couldn't they come down here? And you with them. To you with my eternal friendship." Level was a well-known Paris art dealer and biographer of Picasso. Held in a Plexiglas display to an overall size of 6.5" x 4.5".Auction Info
