Description
John Adams Signed Scallop Top Ship's Passport for the "Ship Harriet of New York." Large vellum sheet, 12" x 18", November 3, 1797; countersigned by Secretary of State Timothy Pickering. Very clean, with engravings at top and intact blind embossed seal alongside signatures. The ink has gently faded in some areas of the engrossment, but both the Adams and Pickering signature remain strong.Auction Info
