[Revolutionary War]. Francis Hopkinson Continental Loan Certificate Signed as the treasurer of loans. One partially-printed page, 8" x 3.75", Connecticut, January 21, 1779, authorizing the payment "at Thirty Days Sight of this" of $60 to Beach Thomlinson "for interest due on Money borrowed by the United States." Hopkinson signed the Declaration of Independence as a delegate from New Jersey. Countersigned by John Lawrence. Scalloped along the left edge.Auction Info
