Description
Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 37418, .44 caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with dovetailed front sight and ladder type rear sight. Brass frame. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Crescent butt. Condition: Fair. Metal with grey-brown age patina with scattered light surface rust and pitting. Brass with mellow age patina. Wood with wear, dents and bruises. Sliver chips in top edges of fore-end and gouge in top of buttstock. Lever with notches filed into lower bow. Action good. Sling mounts missing eyes.Auction Info
