Description

J.P.Sauer and Son Double Barrel Shotgun Made in Prussia. Serial no. 175724, 20ga, 28-inch barrels with matted rib and extractor. Water table without nitro proof and marked: MADE IN PRUSSIA. Blued finish and case-hardened receiver. Finely checkered hardwood pistolgrip stock and forearm. Buttstock with vacant oval escutcheon and hard rubber buttplate.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 30-40% finish, the balance a thin gray-brown patina. Receiver with traces of case colors. Top lever screw absent. Auto safe is not functioning. Stock: Good to very good showing a fair amount of use. Split to forearm. Over all a sweet little gun likely made before WWI.
