With Over Seventy-Five Signatures of Science Fiction Luminaries

Harry Warner, Jr. All Our Yesterdays. An Informal History of Science Fiction Fandom in the Forties. Chicago: Advent, 1969. Second printing. Signed by approximately seventy-five luminaries from the science fiction field. Octavo. xxi, 336 pages. Glossary, index, photographs. Gray cloth over boards. Pristine dust jacket. Fine. The book originally belonged to John L. Coker, III, prominent science fiction fan and collector. He carried the book with him to dozens of science fiction and fantasy conventions in the '90s, collecting signatures in its pages from any person "involved somehow in the field of Science Fiction prior to 1950." The book even accompanied him to Sri Lanka in 1999, when he visited Arthur C. Clarke. Signatures include authors such as Ray Bradbury, Curt Siodmak, Robert Silverberg, Fritz Leiber, Robert Bloch, Harlan Ellison, Ray Harryhausen, Jack Vance, Philip José Farmer, Andre Norton, et al. Laid in is a typed letter signed by Coker, presenting the book to fellow collector and fan, Jerry Weist. Also, Coker provided a typed list of the people who signed the book. From the Jerry Weist Collection.
