Margaret Mitchell: Gone With the Wind. (New York: The Macmillan Company, 1936), first edition, first issue with "Published May, 1936" on copyright page and Gone with the Wind listed in the second column of the list of publisher's books on the rear of the jacket, 1037 pages, gray cloth with blue titles, 8vo (6" x 8.75"), a beautiful copy with only the slightest shelf wear and in a slightly spine-faded but bright unclipped jacket. The jacket has some wear to the edges and a few small chips, else very good. Included is an original page from the New York Times Book Review dated December 20, 1936 with a story about Margaret Mitchell's phenomenal success with Gone With the Wind.Auction Info
