U.S. Harper's Ferry Model 1841 "Mississippi" Percussion Rifle. .54 caliber, 33-inch barrel with standard military sights. Two brass barrel bands. Breech marked: V/P/ [eaglehead].Case-hardened hammer and lockplate. Lockplate with American eagle and legend: Harpers/Ferry/1850. Walnut stock. Brass furniture and large patchbox. Sling mounts. Steel ramrod.Condition: Very good. Metal with light age patina and wear. Wood very good. Minor hairline crack behind lock and scattered light marks. Action very good.
