Description
Colt Burgess Carbine. Serial no. 4806, .44 caliber, 20-inch barrel with Hartford address. Post front and ladder rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Oil-stained walnut stock. Standard model carbine and only 1621 produced.Condition: Fair. No original finish remains. Barrel and receiver with spotty brown patina, the balance a cleaned, bare metal. Hammer and lever with traces of silvered case-hardening. Large loss to right side of forearm which reveals magazine mechanism. Dark bore with distinct rifling. Action functions.
