Limited edition cel, 1989 (9.75 x 11.75 in.; 240 x 295mm). Triple matted and framed. The Great Piggy Bank Robbery: Sherlock Holmes and Daffy Duck. Released in 1989, this limited edition cel and background are from Bob Clampett's 1946 Cartoon "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery," starring Daffy Duck. It is number 89 of an edition of 500 with the gold seal of Bob Clampett Studios at lower right corner. In the cartoon, Daffy enters his own dream and fights the forces of evil as Duck Twacy, the great detective. Daffy imagines that he must recover his beloved piggy bank, which has been stolen by a host of villains. In this scene, Daffy meets up with Sherlock Holmes as he searches for the hideout of the villains. A Certificate of Authenticity of 16 July 1990 from Animation Sensations Cartoon Art Gallery in New Orleans, Louisiana is affixed to the back of the frame.
