Description

William H. Taft Typed Letter Signed. One page, 8" x 10.5", on imprinted letter head. New Haven, Connecticut; October 8, 1915. A letter to his lifelong friend, Clarence Kelsey mentioning President Wilson's impending marriage and relating a humorous story about mutual acquaintance's marriage to "a buxom second wife, twenty years younger..." From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.

Condition: Gently toned with flattened mail folds, and a single diagonal crease along bottom. Verso has light soiling as well as mounting remnants at top. Single stain at top as well as previous dealer's pricing in pencil.
